Exact Staff is hiring a Manufacturing Operator – O-Ring Finishing & Inspection for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Newark, DE. This position is responsible for finishing, sanding, sizing, and inspecting O-rings to ensure they meet strict dimensional and visual quality standards. This is a great opportunity for dependable individuals with strong attention to detail who enjoy hands-on, production-focused work involving hand tools, abrasive materials, measuring equipment, and motorized finishing equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This position is ideal for individuals with manufacturing, production, finishing, inspection, or hands-on assembly experience.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Finish and sand O-rings to meet required dimensional and visual specifications
• Inspect finished parts for quality, uniformity, defects, and proper dimensions
• Use measuring equipment such as calipers and Pi-tapes
• Operate finishing equipment, including spinners, buffers, and other motorized equipment
• Perform sizing of parts by stretching or shrinking when necessary
• Maintain accurate job cards, data sheets, and other production records
• Follow written procedures, specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements
• Complete work efficiently while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Work effectively with coworkers, supervisors, and other team members
• Work overtime, including weekends, as needed

Qualifications:

• Excellent attendance and dependability required
• Steel-toe boots or composite-toe shoes required
• Ability to read, write, and understand written instructions and numerical specifications
• Strong hand and eye coordination
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive hands-on work
• Ability to stand and move between workstations for extended periods
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment
• Ability to follow safety regulations, written procedures, and job specifications
• Previous manufacturing, production, finishing, inspection, or hands-on assembly experience a plus

Pay, Schedule, and Location:

• 2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM–10:15 PM (Overtime: 2:15 PM–12:30 AM) — $18.00/hour + $1.00 shift differential ($19.00/hour)
• 3rd Shift: Monday–Friday, 10:00 PM–6:15 AM (Overtime: 8:00 PM–6:15 AM) — $18.00/hour + $1.50 shift differential ($19.50/hour)
• Location: Newark, DE 19713
