Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Back Office Staff Member to join our medical practice. The ideal candidate is outgoing, friendly, honest, hardworking, dependable, and family-oriented, with the ability to work effectively with children and their parents in a team-oriented environment. Prior medical office experience is required, and pediatric experience is highly valued.

  • Location: Simi Valley, CA
    Position Type: Full-Time
    Pay Rate: $21/hour
    Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:40 PM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients and their families with a friendly and welcoming demeanor.
  • Assist in preparing patients for examinations, including measuring vital signs (height, weight, head circumference, temperature, BP, SpO2).
  • Administer appropriate vaccinations and perform routine tests such as hearing tests and Snellen eye exams.
  • Ensure examination rooms are clean, organized, and fully stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Manage patient scheduling, including new and follow-up appointments.
  • Answer and route phone calls, take accurate messages, and provide patient information in a professional manner.
  • Verify patient insurance, check eligibility, and register new patients, ensuring all medical records are up-to-date.
  • Prepare and organize patient charts and maintain a calm and efficient office environment.
  • Conduct blood sampling (Hemoglobin), urinalysis, and perform i-screen vision exams as needed.
  • Order supplies and ensure inventory is maintained to meet the needs of the practice.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working in a medical office is required.
  • Experience in pediatric care is a strong plus.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact positively with children, parents, and team members.
  • Highly organized, dependable, and able to maintain a calm and efficient work environment.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is required to effectively communicate with our diverse patient population.
  • Ability to work full-time, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 AM to 4:40 PM.
