We are seeking a responsible, skilled Inventory Specialist for a well-known Bite Size Potato Company in Arvin, CA. This position is responsible for performing a variety of tasks while also assisting in the achievement of quality, accuracy, and safety goals. Inventory Specialist will report directly to the Cold Storage Supervisor. In this role you will be responsible for inventory accuracy; insuring system inventory accurately matches physical inventory, all rows must consist of the same size and variety, and but not limited to reporting driver errors to Cold Storage management.

• Shift available 1st 6:00am-2:00pm: (Must be available for overtime as needed)
• Pay Rate: $19.00/HR

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform daily walk throughs inside each room
• Follow Cold Storage inventory SOP to effectively count inventory
• Fix incorrect inventory by rescanning each bin back into its original row or into empty row
• Once row(s) have been fixed run bin movement report to investigate whom made the movement error and report to Cold Storage management.
• The first of every month conduct inventory audit for each cold storage room and report to Cold Storage management.
• Schedule lines to be fixed for inventory driver(s) and Cold Storage drivers.
• Gather scattered varieties, sizes, fields, days old, and condition codes.
• Consolidate rows to maximize cooler space.
• Inform Cold Storage management on sprouting/ leaking bin(s)
• Promote professionalism amongst your team members and maintain open lines of communication between management, employees, and contractors. Attend leadership meetings as appropriate.
• Recognize & communicate business opportunities and potential exposures with senior management team regularly and proactively
