Exact Staff is hiring for our client! We are seeking an experienced Accounting Lead to join a growing wholesale import company in Commerce, CA.
This is a hands-on role where you will work directly with ownership and oversee the company's day-to-day accounting functions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working independently in a small business environment.

This is not a specialized AP or AR position-you will manage multiple areas of accounting and take on increasing responsibility as you grow into the role.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Maintain the general ledger and accurate financial records
• Perform bank and account reconciliations
• Support month-end closing activities
• Track inventory-related accounting transactions
• Process vendor invoices and expense reports
• Prepare internal financial reports and summaries
• Maintain organized, audit-ready documentation
• Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies proactively

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience (required)
• Educational background + degree in accounting or finance
• Experience managing both AP and AR
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (formulas, spreadsheets, and basic analysis)
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn accounting systems

Pay, Schedule, and Location

• Pay Rate: $30.00/hour
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Location: Commerce, CA (On-site)

• Ability to commute to Commerce, CA
• Valid identification proving authorization to work in the United States
