Job Description:
We are hiring a motivated and skilled Administrative Assistant in Bakersfield, CA. You will provide administrative support to the Administrative Shop Operations Supervisor.
Temp to Hire
Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm (some Saturdays as needed)
Pay Rate: $16.50/HR
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of two years’ experience required in typing, filing, spreadsheets, and organization of office procedures.
- Must be computer literate and have working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook.
- Knowledge of AIMS and INFOR preferred.
- Possess good written, verbal and telephone skills.
- Able to communicate effectively (verbally and written).
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean DMV driving record.
- Must pass pre-placement drug/alcohol screen.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Maintain and update filing, inventory, mailing and database systems.
- Review files, records, and other documents to obtain information to respond to requests.
- Operate and maintain office machines such as photocopiers, scanners, voice mail systems, and personal computers.
- Type, format, proofread, and edit correspondence and other documents in Microsoft Word.
- Answer telephones, direct calls, communicate with customers and take messages.
- Process, prepare, create, and analyze documents and records in Microsoft Excel.
- Input, sort, and maintain data in enterprise software systems.
- Assist the Supervisor with any data entry and/or other administrative tasks as directed.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position throughout most of the working day.
- Ability to move about inside the office.
- Able to operate a computer and other office productivity equipment
