Job Description:
Our client is a major manufacturer of sensors, accelerometers, and other associated electronics for measuring force, pressure, and vibrations inside an aircraft.
We are seeking a professional and diligent Quality Assurance Inspector to join our client's main operation, located in the city of Chatsworth, CA.
You will be responsible for inspecting and testing purchased, machined, fabricated, and/or assembled electronics and mechanical products for compliance throughout all phases of receiving, in-process, and final inspection.
You will also:
- Inspect parts and assemblies to verify compliance with electromechanical specifications, according to the work instructions provided.
- Inspect PCB assemblies by IPC-610 or J-STD requirements.
- Inspect welded assemblies with engineering drawings.
- Inspecting machined parts to close tolerance, using calipers, micrometers, indicators, gauges, and pins
- Perform final inspection activities to visually inspect the parts and verify the associated label and certifications.
- Document non-conformances and interface with the QA and Manufacturing teams for evaluations on problem statements, the root cause of the problem, and any steps taken for containment.
- Complete paperwork, record, and input computer entries for inspection
- Other duties as assigned.
This is a full-time, temp-to-hire position. First shift, from 7:30 am to 4 pm.
This is what we are going to be looking for in your candidacy:
- You have at least an AA degree or technical certificate.
- You have at least 3-5 years of experience as a Quality Assurance Inspector, specifically in Electronics Manufacturing
- You are J-STD or IPC-610/620 certified.
- You have knowledge of GD&T, and you can read and understand product drawings, blueprints, and applicable specifications.
- You have experience with standard inspection tools, such as micrometers, calipers, gauge indicators, microscopes, etc.
- You have experience with MS Office products, like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- You have knowledge and experience with AS9100/ISO-9001 requirements standards.
- You keep yourself organized.
