Job Description:

You will maintain a consistent supply of materials and components to meet production and business demands. You will combine purchasing, planning, and data analysis to support our client’s operations.

You will evaluate supplier bids, negotiate pricing, review alternative sourcing options, and integrate operational and financial plans. You will play a critical role in ensuring cost efficiency, supply reliability, and production readiness, while documenting everything accordingly.


Location: Carpinteria, CA
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm.
Compensation: $25.24/hour

 

You will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring continuity of material supply to support our client’s manufacturing and operations departments
  • Analyze demand forecasts and manage procurement of raw materials and components.
  • Identifying and evaluating alternative source options and presenting cost-effective solutions.
  • Qualifying and verifying new suppliers, reviewing bids, and negotiating favorable terms.
  • Monitoring and optimizing inventory levels through our client’s ERP system.
  • Preparing advanced reporting and providing critical analysis for operations planning and leadership reviews.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with production, logistics, and finance to align planning and purchasing activities.
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives related to cost savings, lead times, and supply chain efficiency.

This is what we will be looking for in your candidacy:

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, operations management, or a related field.
  • You have at least 1–3 years of relevant experience in procurement and planning within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • You possess hands-on experience with raw materials procurement, inventory management, and order processing.
  • You are proficient in ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics, or similar).
  • You have a solid understanding of supply chain operations, inventory control, and production planning.
  • You are organized and possess a strong attention to detail
  • You are a clear and consistent communicator, and you know how to negotiate with vendors, as well as maintain communications across different departments.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
  • Supply chain certifications (e.g., CPIM, CSCP) are a plus.
