Job Description:

Our client is a reputable Country Club in beautiful Rancho Palos Verdes, seeking a highly skilled and passionate Tournant Chef to join their prestigious culinary team.
This role requires a skilled chef, who can seamlessly run multiple kitchen stations and have mastery of different techniques as a Saucier, Poissonneir, Friturier, Garde Manager, Gillardian, Rotisseur, and Entremetier.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience working with different cuisines and techniques, a strong work ethic, and the ability to mentor and guide junior cooks while maintaining the highest standards of food quality and cleanliness.

  • Location: Rancho Palos Verdes, CA (90274)
    Shift: Open availability required (flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays)
    Pay Rate: $23-25/hr

Tournant Chef Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and execute dishes to the highest standards under the direction of the Executive Chef.
  • Operate all kitchen stations effectively, including fish, grill, sauces, cold food preparation, and more.
  • Mentor and train junior cooks, ensuring they meet quality and performance standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment.
  • Assist in food prep, inventory management, and special member requests as needed.
  • Ensure food quality, portion control, and waste reduction.
  • Collaborate with all kitchen staff to ensure smooth service and efficiency.

Tournant Chef Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years of experience in fine-dining kitchens.
  • Culinary degree preferred.
  • Expertise in multiple kitchen stations, with strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a calm, composed demeanor.
  • Knowledge of safety, sanitation, and kitchen equipment handling.

Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in varying temperature conditions.
  • CA Food Handlers Certification.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Valid identification that proves your right to work in the United States
  • As a condition of employment, you may be required to pass a drug screen and background check.

 


Compensation

$23.00 - $25.00Per Hour
