Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for contracts and procurement? We’re looking for a skilled Contracts/Procurement Specialist to join our team! In this exciting role, you will take charge of preparing, reviewing, negotiating, and managing contracts and purchase orders, all while working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

  • Position: Contracts/Procurement Specialist
    Location: Fresno
    Hours: Full-time
    Compensation: Salary range is from $74-$78k plus bonus ( Depending on experience )

What You'll Do:

  • Lead Complex Bids & Proposals: Manage complex project bids and ensure compliance with departmental standards. You'll review, analyze, and evaluate formal bids and Requests for Proposals (RFPs), ensuring all proposals meet regulatory requirements and specifications.
  • Collaborate Across Departments: Work closely with internal teams to identify purchasing needs, develop specifications, and ensure alignment with both departmental and city goals.
  • Vendor Relations: Handle vendor communications, resolve any issues related to pricing, quality, and delivery, and maintain an up-to-date record of vendor performance and product quality.
  • Contract & Order Management: Process requisitions, place orders, and manage formal bid processes for capital projects, ensuring all steps are completed efficiently.
  • Procurement & Record Keeping: Keep accurate procurement records, assist with updating procedures, and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Evaluate & Recommend Vendors: Assess vendor competence and determine contract award decisions based on thorough evaluation and comparison of bids.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience: 3-5 years in contracts and procurement, with a solid understanding of purchasing procedures and policies.
  • Education: A bachelor’s degree in business administration, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Skills:
    • Extensive knowledge of contract principles and procurement processes.
    • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Attention to Detail: Must be highly organized with an eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks at once.
