Heat Treat Production Operator – Now Hiring
Exact Staff is hiring for our client in Oxnard for a dependable Heat Treat Production Operator to support metal processing operations in a manufacturing environment. This is a full-time opportunity with training provided for someone looking to build skills in industrial production.
Pay, Schedule, and Location
- Pay: $17.50 per hour
- Schedule: 1st Shift | Full-Time
- Location: Oxnard, CA
Responsibilities / Qualifications
As a Heat Treat Production Operator, you will:
- Set up and operate heat-treat and quenching equipment
- Load and unload parts according to work orders
- Follow material specifications and hardness requirements
- Monitor machine settings, including temperature, timing, and oil/water levels
- Inspect finished parts using measuring tools such as micrometers and gauges
- Identify and separate defective parts
- Record production data and complete work orders accurately
- Perform basic equipment checks and report issues as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Communicate effectively with team members across shifts
We’re looking for a Heat Treat Production Operator who:
- Has a high school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience
- Has manufacturing experience (preferred, but not required)
- Can read work orders and follow instructions
- Has basic mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail
- Has experience using measuring tools (preferred)
- Can lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive physical tasks
Work Environment
- Industrial setting with exposure to heat, machinery, noise, dust, and oils
- Required use of personal protective equipment, including safety glasses and steel-toe footwear
