Exact Staff is hiring for our client. We are seeking a skilled and dependable Housing Maintenance Worker to support property operations in Merced, CA. This position is responsible for performing general maintenance, repairs, and preventative upkeep to ensure housing properties remain safe, functional, and well maintained.

The ideal candidate will have experience with multiple trades, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, and general building maintenance. If you are a hands-on professional who takes pride in quality work and maintaining safe living environments, we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Be Doing:
• Performing skilled maintenance and repair work, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, and general maintenance
• Inspecting facilities, identifying issues, and completing necessary repairs
• Performing preventative and corrective maintenance on housing units, buildings, and grounds
• Responding to work orders and maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner
• Ensuring all work is completed in compliance with applicable codes, safety standards, and regulations
• Maintaining tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized condition
• Assisting with after-hours or emergency maintenance needs as assigned

Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED required
• 1–2 years of general maintenance or construction experience involving multiple trades
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and building systems
• Ability to safely operate hand and power tools
• Valid California Driver’s License with acceptable driving record
• Ability to lift, carry, bend, stand, and perform physically demanding work
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working in public housing, residential properties, or government facilities
• HVAC, electrical, or plumbing certifications
• Experience using work order or maintenance management systems

Pay, Schedule, and Location:
• Pay Rate: $21.00/hr
• Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• Alternating Fridays: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
• Location: Merced, CA 95341
