Job Summary
The Board Clerk & Human Resources Manager oversees Board governance functions and day-to-day Human Resources operations. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Board Clerk & Human Resources Manager ensures compliance with public transparency laws while supporting personnel administration and organizational leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage Board agendas, meetings, minutes, resolutions, and official records as the Board Clerk & Human Resources Manager
- Ensure compliance with the Brown Act, Public Records Act, and related regulations
- Serve as point of contact for public records requests, legal notices, and Board communications
- Oversee HR operations including personnel records, employee relations, and recruitment support
- Maintain confidential files and advise leadership on personnel policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Experience in Board Clerk functions, public-sector administration, or Human Resources
- Knowledge of California governance, labor, and transparency laws
- Strong organizational, communication, and confidentiality skills
