Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to support equipment reliability and production operations in a fast-paced distribution and food processing facility. This role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial machinery to minimize downtime and ensure efficient operations.

  • Industrial Maintenance Mechanic
    Location: Arvin, CA
  • Pay Rate: $20.05/hour
    Shift: 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM (Must be able flexible with hours and work on weekends)


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on industrial equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems, including pneumatic and basic electrical components
  • Diagnose equipment issues using tools, testing devices, and observation
  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals
  • Conduct routine inspections and document equipment performance and issues
  • Work closely with production and maintenance teams to reduce downtime
  • Maintain and manage parts inventory; assist with sourcing and ordering parts
  • Assemble and repair machine components as needed
  • Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and GMP standards
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas

 

Qualifications:

  • 2–5 years of industrial maintenance or mechanical experience required
  • Experience in manufacturing or food processing environments preferred
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems, controls, and pneumatics
  • Familiarity with ammonia or refrigeration systems is a plus
  • Ability to safely use hand and power tools
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English (Spanish bilingual preferred)

 

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working in a high-noise industrial environment
  • Ability to climb ladders and operate lifts when needed
