A leading manufacturer supporting the aerospace, defense, and commercial industries is currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Inspector II to join the Quality Assurance team in Chatsworth, CA.

Position Summary

The Inspector II is responsible for conducting visual, dimensional, and documentation inspections throughout the production lifecycle, including raw materials, in-process components, and finished products. This role ensures compliance with engineering drawings, customer specifications, and industry standards, with a strong focus on quality and continuous improvement.

• Job Type: Full-Time
  Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Overtime as needed)
  Hourly Rate: $21 – $24 DOE (Depends on Experience)
  

Key Responsibilities

• Perform visual, surface plate layout, in-process, final, and packaging inspections.
• Verify product conformance with purchase orders, engineering drawings, and specifications.
• Accurately complete inspection documentation, including AS9102 First Article Reports.
• Use standard inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, thread gages, height gages, etc.).
• Experience with or willingness to learn CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) is a plus.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and customer requirements.
• Apply basic trigonometry and GD&T principles in measurements and evaluations.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and enter data into ERP system.
• Support continuous improvement efforts and collaborate with production and engineering teams.
• Provide guidance to junior inspectors as needed.
• Follow all company safety and environmental policies

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3–5 years of inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of quality control principles and techniques.
• Proficient in reading technical drawings and industry specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Prior experience using inspection and measurement tools.
• Familiarity with AS9102, ERP systems, and aerospace standards is desirable.
