Job Description:

Our client is one of the biggest manufacturers of lighting technology in the United States. They work on a variety of different projects, including streetlights, lamps, floodlights, and the parts used to make them.

We are seeking a smart and diligent Inventory Cycle Count Coordinator to join our client’s main operation in Carpinteria, CA.

 

HOURS

This is a full-time position. Monday to Friday, from 6 am to 2:30 pm.

 

JOB SUMMARY

This is one of our client’s most specialized positions; as such, you will be responsible for maintaining a high level of inventory accuracy by conducting cycle counts and and reporting any inventory discrepancies to the Plant Manager.

You will:

·         You will create and maintain the cycle count sheets

·         Conduct inventory audits

·         Conduct proper investigations into inventory discrepancies, all to ensure records remain accurate within the ERP system

·         Monitor inventory data and use that data to generate reports sent to management

·         Manage obsolete and/or excess materials

·         Implement and maintain an electronic filing system of facts and issues identified during the cycle count process

·         Occasionally make recommendations on how to improve the inventory system

·         Helping to transition inventory from outdated revisions to current part numbers

·         Other duties as needed.

This is what we will be looking for in your candidacy:

•         You have at least 2+ years of experience in inventory control or warehouse operations

•         You are proficient in MS Office products, like Word or Excel

•         You know your way around common inventory ERP systems (like Oracle or HighJump)

•         You have strong analytical skills

•         You know how to use KPIs to identify trends

•         You are a problem solver, and you know how to conduct a proper investigation

•         You may occasionally be operating a forklift to move the items around.

•         You aim to improve yourself in any job you are in.
