We are currently seeking an Inventory Specialist for a well-known cold storage facility located in Arvin, CA. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring system inventory matches physical inventory counts, and verifying that all rows consist of the same product size and variety. Responsibilities also include reporting driver errors to Cold Storage Management and supporting smooth warehouse operations.

Temp-to-Hire
Monday–Friday, 2:00PM–10:00PM
(Must be available for weekends, other shifts, and overtime as needed)
Pay Rate: $19.50/HR

Responsibilities:

• Ensure system inventory matches physical inventory and follow Cold Storage Inventory SOPs.
  
• Perform daily walk-throughs to confirm bins are in correct rows, stacks are properly aligned, and no damaged bins are present.
  
• Conduct daily counts (up to three rooms), correct inventory errors, and report discrepancies to management.
  
• Complete monthly room audits; organize scattered product varieties, sizes, and conditions.
  
• Consolidate rows to maximize cooler space and maintain overall room organization.
  
• Report sprouting or leaking bins; schedule inventory fixes with drivers.
  
• Maintain professional communication with staff, management, and contractors.
  
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
  
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  
• Ability to read and understand written information in English.
  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  
• Detail-oriented, thorough, reliable, and able to work weekends, other shifts, and overtime.
  
• Ability to work at ground level and move throughout cold storage environments.
  
• Able to work in varying temperatures (32°F–45°F and up to 100°F–115°F).
  
• Able to work in high-noise areas.
  
• Must be able to lift/move up to 50 lbs a distance of 2 feet.
