Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Machinist to join our client’s team and help maintain the high standards customers expect. With this company proudly serving agriculture, manufacturing, and industrial clients, you’ll be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to fabricate components from rubber, plastic, and metal materials. Your precision and attention to detail will ensure parts meet tight specifications and production schedules.
Shift: 1st Shift, Monday – Friday (Some Saturday if mandatory) 6am – 6pm
Key Responsibilities
· Interpret technical blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders.
· Set up and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, routers, etc.) to produce custom components.
· Adjust machine settings to ensure precision and quality standards are met.
· Perform routine inspections using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring tools.
· Maintain and troubleshoot equipment to prevent downtime.
· Collaborate with production and engineering teams to optimize machining processes.
· Keep accurate records of production and quality documentation.
· Follow all safety protocols and contribute to a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications
· High school diploma or GED required; trade school certification preferred.
· 8+ years of CNC machining experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
· Must have experience working in an agricultural industry.
· Proficient in reading technical drawings and using measuring instruments.
· Familiarity with Fanuc, Haas, or other common CNC controllers.
· Basic knowledge of G-code programming a plus.
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
