Job Description:

We are seeking dedicated and skilled Medical Assistants to join our healthcare client in Fresno! The ideal candidate will be passionate about patient care, possess excellent clinical skills, and be able to effectively support healthcare providers in delivering high-quality medical services. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic and providing exceptional patient experiences.

 

Pay Rate: $21.00 - $21.00, DOE

Shift: Part-Time, Monday – Friday (4-5 Hrs./Day)

Responsibilities:

·         Greet patients and prepare them for medical examinations or procedures.

·         Assist healthcare providers with patient assessments, examinations, and treatments.

·         Record patient medical history, vital signs, and other relevant information accurately and efficiently.

·         Prepare and administer medications under the supervision of a healthcare provider.

·         Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for diagnostic purposes.

·         Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring cleanliness and proper stocking of supplies.

·         Schedule patient appointments and manage patient records with accuracy and confidentiality.

·         Provide clear instructions to patients regarding medication, procedures, and follow-up care.

·         Assist in coordinating patient referrals and communication between healthcare providers.

·         Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols.

·         Maintain and update medical records using electronic health record (EHR) systems.

·         Assist with administrative tasks, including answering phone calls, verifying insurance information, and handling billing inquiries.

 

Qualifications:

·         High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred.

·         Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification is a plus.

·         Previous experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting is advantageous.

·         Proficiency in medical terminology, clinical procedures, and basic laboratory techniques.

·         Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

·         Experience with EPIC is a plus.

·         Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to provide compassionate patient care.

·         Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer skills.

·         Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and patient safety.

·         Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

·         Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality.

 

Hiring Requirements:

·         Medical Assistant Certificate

·         BLS Certificate

·         Proof of TB Results

·         Proof of Hep B. Results

·         Vaccination Records
