Job Description:

Our client is an established, multi-specialty primary care medical group with a long-standing tenure, located in the city of Thousand Oaks, offering general practice. We are searching for a bright and diligent Medical Biller to join our client’s office.

 

As the Medical Biller, you will be responsible for supporting the daily billing and insurance follow-up activities. This includes, but is not limited to:

 

  • Preparing, reviewing, and submitting medical claims to commercial insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid
  • Verifying patient insurance coverage, benefits, and eligibility
  • Reviewing and correcting claim denials, rejections, and underpayments
  • Following up with insurance carriers on unpaid or delayed claims
  • Posting insurance and patient payments accurately
  • Identifying and resolving billing discrepancies and coding issues
  • Communicating with patients regarding billing questions, statements, and payment arrangements
  • Maintaining accurate patient and billing records in the practice management system
  • Ensuring compliance with HIPAA, payer guidelines, and company policies
  • Collaborating with the front office, coding, and clinical teams to resolve billing issues

 

Our client is looking for someone highly detail-oriented and someone who wishes to grow with them. This is a full-time, temp-to-hire position. Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 4:30 pm.

Keep in mind that you may be asked to work overtime on occasion.

This is what we will be looking for in your candidacy:

  • 1–3 years of medical billing experience, preferably in a Medical Office, Physician’s Office or a Hospital setting.
  • You have a high school diploma or a higher level of education.
  • You possess a working knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding.
  • You are familiar with insurance billing guidelines.
  • You are experienced in using medical billing software
  • You possess a strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • You can multitask when needed.
