Carson, CA 90745 | Full-Time | First Shift (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)

Exact Staff is hiring a dependable, organized, and customer-focused Operations Specialist for our client. This is a great opportunity for an experienced professional who enjoys working with customers, coordinating freight shipments, and supporting day-to-day operations in a fast-paced office and warehouse environment. The ideal candidate has strong customer service and organizational skills, is comfortable managing multiple priorities, and has experience with Microsoft Office. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with weekly pay and room to grow into a long-term role.

This position is ideal for individuals with customer service, freight forwarding, or sales experience.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Provide freight shipping quotes and estimates to new and existing clients
• Onboard new clients and explain the shipping, receiving, and delivery process
• Serve as a primary point of contact for clients regarding their shipping needs
• Respond to customer questions and assist with shipping-related concerns
• Work closely with warehouse staff to review, coordinate, and route shipments
• Arrange vendor pickups and send Bills of Lading (BOLs)
• Track shipment arrivals and provide customers with delivery updates and ETAs
• Respond to requests for Proof of Delivery (POD) documentation
• Monitor and keep track of shipment consolidations
• Enter customer information and shipment details into the Warehouse Management System (WMS)
• Create dock receipts, manifests, bill-to information, and other required documentation
• Work closely with the VP and assist with multiple operational projects and tasks
• Support overall office and warehouse operations as needed

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of customer service experience
• Freight forwarding experience a plus
• Sales experience a plus
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Excel
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong initiative and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and customer service skills

Pay, Schedule, and Location:

• Pay Rate: $22.00–$24.00/hour
• Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday, must be open to overtime when needed
• Shifts Available: First Shift, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Location: Carson, CA 90745
• Work Environment: Office / Warehouse
