Exact Staff is hiring for our client and is seeking a dependable, organized, and customer-focused Operations Specialist to join their team. This is a great opportunity for an experienced professional who enjoys working with customers, coordinating freight shipments, and supporting day-to-day operations in a fast-paced office and warehouse environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong customer service and organizational skills, be comfortable managing multiple priorities, and have experience with Microsoft Office. Freight forwarding or sales experience is a plus.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Providing freight shipping quotes and estimates to new and existing clients
• Onboarding new clients and explaining the shipping, receiving, and delivery process
• Serving as a primary point of contact for clients regarding their shipping needs
• Responding to customer questions and assisting with shipping-related concerns
• Working closely with warehouse staff to review, coordinate, and route shipments
• Arranging vendor pickups and sending Bills of Lading (BOLs)
• Tracking shipment arrivals and providing customers with delivery updates and ETAs
• Responding to requests for Proof of Delivery (POD) documentation
• Monitoring and keeping track of shipment consolidations
• Entering customer information and shipment details into the Warehouse Management System (WMS)
• Creating dock receipts, manifests, bill-to information, and other required documentation
• Working closely with the VP and assisting with multiple operational projects and tasks
• Supporting overall office and warehouse operations as needed

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of customer service experience
• Freight forwarding experience is a plus
• Sales experience is a plus
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Excel
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong initiative and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and customer service skills

Pay, Schedule, and Work Environment

• Pay Rate: $22.00 – $24.00/hr
• Schedule: Monday – Friday
• Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Overtime: Must be open to overtime when needed
• Position Type: Temp-to-Hire
