Exact Staff is seeking for Property Maintenance Technicians for low income apartment complex units in Bakersfield, CA. The ideal candidate will be responsible of monthly home inspections, electrical and home repairs, plumbing systems, and ground maintenance. This position requires to be comfortable and knowledgeable with hand tools, drainage systems, and janitorial labor.

 

• Full-time, Temp-to-Hire
• Schedule: Monday -Friday 8AM-5PM
• Pay rate: $20.41/HR
• Location: Bakersfield, CA

 

Responsibilities:

·         Must be able to follow and receive verbal and written instructions from maintenance supervisor

·         Must be able to work in team settings

·         Maintain and repair building electrical systems by replacing defective parts, like switches, fixtures, and plugs

·         Must be able to repair and adjust heating, refrigerating, and air condition equipment, like water heaters, gas ranges, and garbage disposals in a timely matter

·         Install and replace broden windows, window screens, and/ or frames

·         Must be able to repair doors, door knobs, and produce keys as needed

·         Assist with janitorial tasks, such as deep clean vacant units, wax floors, and cobwebs removal

·         Must be able to perform grounds maintenance on all properties

·         Conduct monthly unit inspections

·         Must be able to operate and utilize hand tools

·         Replace missing or damaged floors and tiles

·         Roof repairs as needed

Qualifications:

·         High school diploma or GED required

·         Minimum one year of experience within property and/ or grounds maintenance

·         Must be able to assist in heavy lifting

·         Must have a valid Driver’s License AND Clean DMV record

·         Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

·         Abie to work independently and within team environments

·         Excellent communication and customer service skills
