The Property Manager plays a key role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of residential housing properties. This Property Manager position is responsible for financial performance, tenant relations, staff supervision, and ensuring compliance with all housing regulations.

Pay, Schedule, and Location

• Pay: $20.00 – $27.00/hour (DOE)
• Location: Merced, CA
• Schedule: Full-time (schedule to be discussed during interview)

Responsibilities:

• Manage property budgets, financial reports, and overall performance
• Supervise, train, and support on-site staff, including hiring and evaluations
• Oversee tenant eligibility, recertifications, and lease compliance
• Address tenant concerns and coordinate resolutions, including legal processes when needed
• Conduct regular property inspections to ensure safety and maintenance standards
• Coordinate with maintenance teams and approve vendor services
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of college or equivalent experience
• 4+ years of experience in property management, customer service, or a related field
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities effectively
• Bilingual Spanish is a plus

Requirements

• Valid California Driver’s License
• Ability to obtain Public Housing Manager and/or Asset Manager certification within 12 months
