Job Description:
Exact Staff is hiring for our client, a respected community health organization, seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join their dental team in Bakersfield!
- Location: Bakersfield, CA
- Pay: $21.00/hour
- Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced clinical setting and is committed to delivering excellent patient care. Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus!
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet, prepare, and escort patients for dental treatment
- Assist with general, restorative, and surgical procedures
- Take and process dental X-rays
- Maintain infection control standards and clean/sterilize equipment
- Review patient health histories and chart entries
- Perform coronal polishing, apply sealants, and assist with temporary crowns
- Manage dental inventory and operatory setup
- Support front office operations as needed
- Participate in health fairs and community outreach events
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Registered Dental Assistant certification (RDA) – Required
- Radiation safety, coronal polishing, and sealant certifications – Required
- 1+ year of experience as a Dental Assistant
- Strong communication and multitasking skills
- Friendly and professional demeanor with a passion for patient care
- Must be able to work at multiple locations as needed
- Valid CA driver’s license and proof of insurance
Additional Requirements:
- Must be HIPAA compliant and maintain confidentiality
- Must be proficient in or willing to learn electronic health records (EHR)
- Will participate in the organization’s Patient Centered Health Home model
