We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Safety Assistant to support the Safety Coordinator at a baby food manufacturing facility in Sanger, CA. This role assists with day-to-day safety operations, helps maintain compliance with OSHA and food manufacturing regulations, and promotes a safe, clean, and compliant work environment.

Job Title: Safety Assistant – Food Manufacturing
Shift: 2nd Shift (Swing) – Part-Time
Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire
Pay Rate: $24-$28/hr, DOE

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Safety Coordinator with implementing and enforcing safety policies and procedures.
• Support OSHA compliance and food manufacturing safety standards.
• Conduct routine safety walkthroughs and report unsafe conditions.
• Assist with safety inspections, audits, and documentation.
• Help investigate incidents and near-misses and document findings.
• Support employee safety training and orientation.
• Maintain safety logs, reports, and records.
• Ensure compliance with GMPs and food safety protocols.

Qualifications:

• OSHA 30 certification REQUIRED.
• 1–2 years of safety experience, preferably in food manufacturing.
• Prior experience working in a food manufacturing or production environment.
• Ability to work 2nd shift (swing) with open availability.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
