We are seeking a skilled and motivated Sanitation Technician for a well-known agricultural company in Arvin, CA. This position is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing the production equipment and the facility. This position will also disassemble and reassemble the production line and equipment as necessary for cleaning.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

•        High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) or equivalent.

•        6 months to one-year sanitation experience in cleaning food industry equipment.

•        Previous sanitation experience within a warehouse environment – preferred.

•        Must be able to use correct chemicals for cleaning and sanitizing situations.

•        Ability to read and understand documents such as safety rules, cleaning schedules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

•        Ability to communicate effectively with other employees of the organization.

•        Must pass pre-placement drug/alcohol screen, physical and functional capacity evaluation.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Perform daily cleaning and sanitation of plant equipment and areas using industrial tools and chemicals.
• Follow cleaning schedules and sanitation procedures to ensure food safety.
• Communicate issues to Sanitation Lead/Supervisor for corrective action.
• Conduct visual inspections and testing.
• Disassemble, clean, and reassemble production equipment as needed.
• Operate cleaning machinery (e.g., floor scrubber, pressure washer, forklift).
• Clean restrooms, offices, break rooms, warehouse, and facility grounds.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Perform additional tasks as directed by Supervisor.
