Job Description:
Our client is a leading manufacturer and distributor of hydraulic technology and sensors for the aerospace industry. They are seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to oversee key financial operations in their Chatsworth office.
- Location: Chatsworth, CA
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Employment Type: Full-time, Temp-to-Hire (potential for permanent placement)
Pay: $84,000 – $104,000 per year
This management position plays a critical role in the accounting department, supporting the Controller and Financial Analyst in processing invoices, overseeing job order cost accounting, tracking costs, and ensuring projects stay within budget. You will also lead the accounting team to ensure financial projects are completed on time and reports are delivered efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee Accounts Payable, including invoice verification and processing.
- Conduct financial analysis, identifying trends and communicating insights to the team.
- Process G/L entries and update the General Ledger.
- Prepare and submit financial reports to management.
- Work cross-functionally with other departments to resolve discrepancies.
- Review fixed assets and depreciation schedules.
- Manage Accounts Receivable, follow up on outstanding invoices, and handle collections.
- Perform reconciliations for bank accounts, cash, and payroll.
- Ensure GAAP compliance in all accounting processes.
- Take on additional accounting duties as needed.
What We’re Looking For
- 8-10 years of accounting experience, preferably in Manufacturing or Aerospace/Defense.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent experience).
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel and Word.
- Experience with QuickBooks and ERP systems like SAP or Oracle NetSuite.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of GAAP principles and financial best practices.
- CPA or CMA certification is a strong plus.
- Punctuality and reliability—you show up on time, consistently.
- Valid identification that proves your right to work in the United State.
