Our client is a major manufacturer and distributor of hydraulic technology and sensors for the aerospace field. We are seeking a diligent and professional Senior Accountant to join our client’s operation in Chatsworth.

 

HOURS

This is a full-time, direct-hire position. First shift, from 8 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday.

DESCRIPTION

This is a traditional accounting position in which you will assist the controller, financial analyst, and the rest of the accounting department in processing detailed invoices, notably job order cost accounting, tracking the costs, and ensuring projects don’t go over budget.

You will also be responsible for:

·         Accounts Payable – Checking invoices, processing invoices into the system

·         Financial Analysis – Identify trends and communicate findings to the teams

·         Processing G/L Entries

·         Preparing Financial Reports and sending them to management

·         Work closely with other departments to resolve any discrepancies that have occurred

·         Reviewing fixed assets and depreciation of assets

·         Accounts Receivable – Calling out-of-date invoices, collection calls, and resolving any invoice discrepancies

·         Updating the General Ledger

·         Reconciliations – Bank, Cash, and Payroll

·         Other accounting duties as needed.

This is what we will be looking for in your candidacy:

·         You have at least 3 years of accounting experience

·         Preferably, you have experience in Manufacturing or Aerospace/Defense

·         You have a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance

·         You are great with MS Office products, including MS Excel and Word.

·         You are punctual and can arrive on time consistently.

·         You know common ERP systems like SAP or M2M

·         You are familiar with GAAP principles

·         You are organized and can be asked to take on multiple projects if needed

·         You can operate independently, with minimal supervision

·         A huge plus if you have a CPA or CMA certification

·         As a condition of employment, you may be asked to take and pass a background check and/or drug test.
