Job Description:

We are currently seeking a motivated and skilled Service Coordinator in Bakersfield, CA. Under general supervision identifies members of the affordable housing population in need of supportive and community services; coordinates, provides access to and - monitors the appropriate delivery of such services, targeting eligible individuals for participation in self-sufficiency programs.  

Temp to hire 

Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM

Pay Rate: $21.67/HR

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Assist and advocate for clients (families, elderly, disabled, youth) in accessing supportive services.
  • Conduct client intakes, develop service plans, and provide case management.
  • Offer information on employment, programs, and client rights.
  • Coordinate educational, social, and therapeutic activities.
  • Advocate on behalf of clients with outside agencies.
  • Support Family Self-Sufficiency and Home Ownership programs, tracking progress and compliance.
  • Coordinate youth and senior services and activities.
  • Maintain service directories, reports, and client databases.
  • Collaborate with clients, coworkers, and partner organizations.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Any combination of education or training equivalent to a degree from an accredited college or university with a degree in public administration, social services or related field.
  • Relevant experience coordinating services to low-income families, including elderly, disabled and youth may be substituted for the education requirement on a year for year basis.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) 
  • Ability to work flexible hours, occasional evenings and weekends required.
