Job Description:
Exact Staff is hiring for our client. We are seeking dependable and detail-oriented Machine Operators to join a growing manufacturing team in Elkton, MD. This position offers a unique rotating schedule with approximately 14 working days per month, every other weekend off, and opportunities for long-term growth. Candidates must be able to complete a paid training period on the day shift before transitioning to the overnight schedule.
- 2nd Shift Machine Operator
- Location: Elkton, MD 21921
- Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour
- Schedule: 2nd Shift | 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
- Employment Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire
Responsibilities:
- Operate manufacturing and production equipment safely and efficiently
- Monitor machine performance and product quality throughout the production process
- Perform basic machine adjustments, troubleshooting, and operational checks
- Follow production schedules, work orders, and operating procedures
- Inspect products to ensure quality standards are met
- Maintain accurate production and operational documentation
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and workplace safety requirements
Qualifications:
- Previous machine operator, manufacturing, production, or warehouse experience preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts and stand for extended periods
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills are a plus
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to complete a 10-day training period on day shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
