Exact Staff is seeking a highly skilled Aerospace Electrical Engineer to support the design, development, testing, and maintenance of electrical and embedded software solutions for aerospace applications. What You'll Be Doing:
- Designing, developing, and implementing new electrical test systems and production equipment
- Improving existing testing processes and equipment performance
- Collaborating with systems engineers, hardware engineers, and project managers to define system requirements and electrical/software architecture
- Performing unit testing, integration testing, and system-level verification
- Supporting certification activities through technical documentation, ATPs, traceability, and compliance efforts
- Troubleshooting, maintaining, and optimizing electrical designs and embedded software
- Participating in design reviews, peer reviews, and technical presentations
- Performing other engineering duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related engineering discipline
- 10+ years of experience in electrical test development, preferably within aerospace or embedded systems
- Strong experience with C/C++ and VHDL programming, Ladder Logic, embedded microprocessors, CPLD/FPGA development, PLC programming and design, motion controllers and sensors, digital and analog circuit design, PCB layout and design, and technical documentation
- Proficiency with oscilloscopes, multimeters, and bench testing equipment
- Experience developing electrical and electronic designs for aircraft instrumentation and simulation products
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional engineering teams
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or otherwise authorized to work on ITAR-controlled programs
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs occasionally and 15 lbs regularly
- Comfortable working with engineering tools, laboratory equipment, and production hardware
- Reliable attendance and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven engineering environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience developing automated test programs using LabVIEW
- PCB design experience using Altium Designer
- Ability to troubleshoot circuit assemblies to the component level
- Experience repairing production assemblies and customer returns using laboratory test equipment
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies and engineering processes
Pay, Schedule, and Location
- Pay Rate: $85,000 - $95,000 annually (DOE)
- Schedule: Full-Time
- Shifts Available: Day Shift
- Location: Chatsworth, CA
