Butterfly Lab Assistant (Bilingual Spanish Required)

Full time, Temp-to-Hire

Location: Shafter, CA

Schedule: Monday- Friday 7:30AM-4:00PM (Weekends as needed depending on sales)

Pay Rate: $18.00 - $20.00/hr. (Depending on Experience)

 

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Butterfly Lab Assistant in Shafter, CA. This position involves working in a laboratory environment caring for and handling various stages of butterfly development, including larvae, caterpillars, and butterflies. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with live insects, has computer skills, and can communicate effectively in both English and Spanish.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the care and maintenance of butterfly larvae, caterpillars, and butterflies
• Monitor and document insect development and laboratory activities
• Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment
• Follow established procedures and quality standards
• Enter and track data using computer systems
• Support production and research activities as needed

 

Qualifications:

• Bilingual in English and Spanish (required)
• Comfortable handling live larvae, caterpillars, and butterflies
• Excellent computer literacy and data entry skills
• Ability to work in a laboratory setting
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Dependable and punctual with a positive attitude
