Shafter, CA | Full-Time | Temp to Hire | Monday–Friday, 8AM–5PM
Exact Staff is hiring for our client, a well-known healthcare facility in Shafter, CA. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Call Center Associate to support patients with their appointment needs while representing the organization's commitment to quality, respect, integrity, partnership, and compassion.
This position is ideal for individuals with medical call center, patient scheduling, front office, or healthcare customer service experience.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Greeting patients and handling incoming calls with excellent customer service
- Scheduling, confirming, and updating patient appointments and demographics
- Answering and routing incoming calls appropriately
- Registering patients per protocols and conducting follow-ups as needed
- Contacting and scheduling patients for services
- Promoting services by assessing patient needs
- Coordinating with departments to ensure smooth patient flow
- Addressing patient inquiries and disputes, directing them to appropriate staff
- Explaining available services, payment options, and billing procedures
- Performing tasks within the electronic health records system
- Initiating medication refill requests
- Following call center policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a medical appointment setting
- Strong communication, customer service, and multitasking skills
- Ability to work under pressure with professionalism and empathy
- Friendly demeanor and willingness to assist patients
- Knowledge of community-based organizations and office functions
- Commitment to the organization's mission and inclusivity
Pay, Schedule, and Location
- Pay Rate: $21.00 – $22.00/hr
- Schedule: Full-Time, Temp to Hire
- Shift: Monday–Friday, 8AM–5PM
- Location: Shafter, CA
