Hidden Hills, CA | Full-Time | 1st Shift – 8 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday

Exact Staff is hiring for our client. We are searching for a public accountant to join our client’s main office, located in the city of Hidden Hills.

This position is a combination of bookkeeping, reconciling ledger accounts, and assisting with budget preparation.

What You’ll Be Doing:

·         Prepare financial reports periodically, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports

·         Maintain and reconcile the general ledger

·         Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other journal entries

·         Support audits to ensure compliance with existing and new standards from the city

·         Prepare financial statements

·         Monitor revenues for budget compliance

·         Track additional expenditures as they come in

·         Aid in improving the overall accounting system and send any recommendations to management.

Qualifications:

·         A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or any other related field.

·         At least 3 years of previous accounting experience, preferably as an accounting supervisor or at a similar level

·         Existing experience in public sector accounting, or similar.

·         Knowledge of GAAP standards and financial reporting guidelines

·         Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

·         Excellent communication skills

·         Excellent team-building skills

Preferred

·         CPA Designation is a huge plus

·         Previous direct experience working for a city, municipality or government agency

·         Pre-existing knowledge of GASB standards

Pay, Schedule, and Location

• Pay Rate: $35-40/hour
• Schedule: Full-Time
• Shifts Available: 1st Shift (8 am – 5 pm, Monday to Friday)
• Location: Hidden Hills, CA
