Exact Staff is hiring for our client and is seeking dependable Receiving Clerks / Material Handlers to support warehouse and inventory operations in a metal fabrication environment. If you have experience in receiving, inventory control, or material handling, we'd love to hear from you!

Position Details

Job Title: Receiving Clerk / Material Handler
Pay Rate: $18.00–$20.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Hours: 5:30 AM – 4:00 PM (schedule may change during the busy season)
Overtime: Required

What You'll Be Doing

• Unload trucks and receive incoming steel and hardware shipments
• Verify deliveries against purchase orders and packing slips
• Inspect incoming materials for rust, dents, damage, and quality before routing to production
• Enter inventory transactions and maintain accurate records using ERP/computer systems
• Safely operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and pallet jacks to move and store materials
• Organize materials in designated warehouse locations
• Make occasional local pickups and deliveries
• Assist the shipping department during high-volume periods

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a metal fabrication, manufacturing, or industrial warehouse environment
• Valid driver's license
• Forklift certification required
• Basic computer skills for inventory and transaction entry
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to safely lift and move heavy materials
