Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Certified Forklift Operator with 2-4 years of experience to join our client’s team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Safety, efficiency, and attention to detail are paramount in this role.

 

Responsibilities:

·         Safely operate a forklift to move materials around the warehouse or production facility.

·         Load and unload materials from trucks, pallets, racks, and shelves.

·         Ensure all incoming and outgoing materials are properly documented.

·         Conduct regular inspections of the forklift to ensure it is in good working condition.

·         Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.

·         Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse or production area.

·         Assist with inventory control by accurately counting and recording materials.

·         Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.

·         Follow instructions from supervisors and communicate any issues or concerns promptly.

·         Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements:

·         High school diploma or equivalent.

·         Valid forklift operator certification.

·         Proven experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or production environment (2-4 years preferred).

·         Ability to safely maneuver heavy materials and operate equipment in tight spaces.

·         Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

·         Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

·         Ability to follow instructions and work independently when necessary.

·         Physical stamina and dexterity to perform the required tasks.

·         Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends if required.

·         Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment for oneself and others.
