Arvin, CA | Full-Time | 2nd Shift Available

Exact Staff is hiring for our client, a food manufacturing company in the Arvin area specializing in bite-sized potatoes! We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Technician to help ensure products meet established quality, food safety, and regulatory standards.

In this role, you will perform quality inspections, collect and document samples, monitor production processes, and communicate quality concerns to the appropriate team members. Attention to detail, accuracy, and a strong commitment to food safety are essential for success in this position. This position is ideal for individuals with experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Food Manufacturing, Production, or a related field.

 
Responsibilities / Qualifications

What You’ll Be Doing:

•           Performing routine quality inspections and checks throughout the production process

•           Collecting product samples and performing quality tests according to established procedures

•           Monitoring product specifications, appearance, weight, temperature, packaging, labeling, and overall quality

•           Verifying products meet company and customer quality standards

•           Documenting inspection results, test results, and production information accurately

•           Identifying and reporting quality or food safety issues to supervisors and management

•           Assisting with investigations of quality deviations and non-conforming products

•           Monitoring production processes to ensure compliance with established procedures

•           Performing environmental, sanitation, and/or product inspections as required

•           Ensuring proper labeling, coding, packaging, and product identification

•           Following all food safety, GMP, HACCP, and workplace safety procedures

•           Maintaining accurate and organized quality records and documentation

•           Communicating effectively with Production, Sanitation, Warehouse, and Management teams

•           Working in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail

 

Qualifications:

•           Previous Quality Assurance or Quality Control experience preferred

•           Food manufacturing or food production experience preferred

•           Strong attention to detail and ability to identify product or process inconsistencies

•           Ability to accurately record information and maintain quality documentation

•           Good math, language, reading, and comprehension skills

•           Basic computer skills required

•           Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

•           Ability to work independently and make sound decisions within established procedures

•           Strong communication and problem-solving skills

•           Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment

•           Strong attendance, reliability, and punctuality

•           Commitment to maintaining high food safety and quality standards

 

Preferred Qualifications:

•           Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

•           Experience in Food & Beverage or Food Manufacturing

•           Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, SQF, or other food safety and quality programs

•           Previous experience with quality inspections, sampling, testing, or production documentation

•           Experience using computers or electronic systems for data entry and recordkeeping

Pay, Schedule, and Location:

•           Pay Rate: $17.80/hr.

•           Schedule: Full-Time

•           Shift: 2nd Shift, 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM

•           Location: Arvin, CA
