Arvin, CA | Full-Time | 2nd & 3rd Shift Available

Exact Staff is hiring for our client, a food manufacturing company in the Arvin area specializing in bite-sized potatoes! We are seeking experienced Stand-Up Forklift Operators to support daily warehouse and production operations. The ideal candidate will have recent hands-on experience operating a stand-up electric forklift and be certified through a recognized forklift certification school.

In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving products and materials throughout the facility while meeting daily and weekly productivity, quality, accuracy, and safety goals.

This position is ideal for candidates with recent stand-up electric forklift experience in warehouse, shipping & receiving, food manufacturing, palletizing, or distribution environments.

Responsibilities / Qualifications

What You’ll Be Doing:

·       Operating a stand-up electric forklift to safely move pallets and materials throughout the facility

·       Loading finished product and materials into trucks

·       Unloading return materials as needed

·       Transporting and staging palletized products and materials

·       Putting away pallets of packaging and materials in designated locations

·       Staging materials for production

·       Accurately locating and organizing inventory

·       Performing daily forklift and equipment inspections

·       Recharging forklift batteries and maintaining equipment readiness

·       Examining products and materials to verify conformance with quality standards

·       Following all workplace safety, food safety, and operational procedures

·       Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment

·       Working efficiently in a fast-paced team environment

·       Meeting productivity and accuracy expectations while maintaining safe forklift operation

Qualifications:

·       Recent hands-on experience operating a stand-up electric forklift is required

·       Valid stand-up electric forklift certification from a recognized forklift certification school is required

·       Ability to safely operate a stand-up forklift in a busy warehouse or manufacturing environment

·       Warehouse, shipping & receiving, palletizing, or food manufacturing experience preferred

·       Good math, language, reading, and comprehension skills

·       Basic computer skills required

·       Strong attention to detail and safety awareness

·       Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and maintain accurate records

·       Ability to complete assignments accurately, timely, and safely

·       Strong attendance and reliability

·       Ability to work independently and as part of a team

·       Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

·       Must be committed to following all safety procedures and operating equipment responsibly

Preferred Qualifications:

·       Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

·       Previous experience in the Food & Beverage or Food Manufacturing industry

·       Experience working in shipping, receiving, production, or distribution environments

Pay, Schedule, and Location

·       Pay Rate: $18.00/hr.

·       Schedule: Full-Time

·       Shifts Available: 2nd & 3rd Shift (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM, 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

·       Location: Arvin, CA
