Exact Staff is hiring for our client, a beverage manufacturing company! We are seeking a Batching Supervisor to coordinate and direct batching and extraction activities, ensuring safe, accurate, and high-quality production consistent with company standards.
This position oversees batching operations, sanitation, inventory control, wastewater monitoring, and safety and environmental compliance while supervising a team of 3–4 employees. The ideal candidate will have batching or production experience, strong technical and analytical skills, and the ability to train and develop a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities / Qualifications
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Coordinating daily batching and extraction activities and reviewing production records for accuracy and compliance
- Maintaining accurate material inventories and conducting monthly and bi-monthly inventory counts
- Conducting Clean-In-Place (CIP) verifications and validations and reviewing sanitation records
- Training employees on batching methods, procedures, sanitation, and safe work practices
- Developing staffing plans, assigning work, and scheduling incoming mineral water and grape juice tankers
- Supervising employees, including interviewing, hiring, training, performance reviews, coaching, disciplinary action, and resolving employee concerns
- Leading safety training, participating in safety meetings, and serving as Spill Prevention Coordinator
- Monitoring wastewater systems, reviewing charts and logs, and ensuring compliance with city and state requirements, including required laboratory testing
- Serving as the first responder for wastewater alarms, with 24/7 response availability required
- Overseeing water softener operation and maintenance
- Collecting raw material Certificates of Analysis (COAs) and evaluating results
- Overseeing preventive maintenance, repairs, and timely calibration of batching equipment, including recorders, flow meters, and sensors
- Performing product sensory evaluations and calculating additive adjustments
- Recording scrap and hold reports related to batching and tea processing
- Investigating customer complaints related to product quality
- Maintaining proper housekeeping of batching areas and surrounding grounds
- Performing other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
- 1–2 years of related batching or production experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong knowledge of batching processes, CIP systems, wastewater monitoring, and production equipment
- Leadership skills with the ability to coach, develop, and hold employees accountable
- Ability to read and interpret technical procedures, regulations, and business publications
- Ability to write clear reports, business correspondence, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presenting information to employees and management
- Strong understanding of ratios, percentages, statistical calculations, and production metrics
- Ability to apply mathematical concepts to batching adjustments and quality control
- Strong troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and decision-making skills
- Knowledge of OSHA requirements, wastewater regulations, and workplace safety programs
- Strong planning, organization, time management, and scheduling skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and manufacturing software

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Prior supervisory experience in food or beverage manufacturing strongly preferred
- Experience with ERP systems, such as AS400 or an equivalent system
- Experience with payroll and timekeeping systems

Pay, Schedule, and Location:
- Pay Rate: $28.00-$32.00/hr.
- Schedule: Full-Time
- On-Call Requirement: 24/7 response availability for wastewater alarms
