Bakersfield, CA | Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Weekends as needed)

Exact Staff is hiring an experienced Forklift Operator/General Laborer to join our warehouse and transload operations team in Bakersfield. This position offers steady work and weekly pay, and is responsible for safely operating a sit-down forklift to unload trucks and railcars while also assisting with general warehouse duties to support daily operations.

This position is ideal for individuals with sit-down forklift and general warehouse/labor experience.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Safely operate a sit-down forklift to unload trucks and railcars
  • Load, unload, move, and stage materials throughout the warehouse and yard
  • Palletize products for storage and shipment
  • Perform general labor duties including sweeping, cleaning, and maintaining an organized work area
  • Assist with warehouse operations as needed to ensure efficient workflow
  • Follow all company safety policies and OSHA guidelines
  • Inspect equipment before each shift and report any maintenance concerns
  • Work as part of a team to meet daily production and shipping goals

Qualifications:

  • Previous sit-down forklift experience required
  • Current forklift certification required
  • Ability to safely unload trucks and railcars with minimal supervision
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work
  • Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and safety-focused
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to assist with general labor duties when not operating the forklift

Pay, Schedule, and Location

  • Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday (Weekends as needed)
  • Shifts Available: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
  • Location: Bakersfield, CA
