Exact Staff is hiring for our client, a food manufacturing company in the Arvin area specializing in bite-sized potatoes! We are seeking a motivated Fabrication / Welder Level 1 to perform basic welding, fabrication, and equipment repair tasks in a fast-paced food production environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level welder or fabricator looking to build their skills while working alongside experienced maintenance and welding professionals. The ideal candidate will have a welding certificate or up to two years of welding or fabrication experience and a strong commitment to workplace safety and quality.

Responsibilities / Qualifications

What You’ll Be Doing:

•           Performing basic MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on steel and stainless steel

•           Assisting with fabrication of machine guards, platforms, carts, and production equipment

•           Repairing damaged equipment, machinery, and structural components

•           Reading and interpreting basic blueprints and fabrication drawings

•           Using measuring tools and performing basic layout work

•           Safely operating grinders, cutting torches, drills, and other fabrication equipment

•           Assisting senior welders and maintenance personnel with equipment repair and fabrication projects

•           Completing preventive maintenance welding and fabrication tasks

•           Following established welding, fabrication, and equipment safety procedures

•           Following food safety, GMP, OSHA, and company safety policies and procedures

•           Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area

•           Working effectively in a fast-paced production environment

•           Performing other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

•           Welding certificate OR 1–2 years of welding or fabrication experience

•           Basic ability to perform MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on steel and stainless steel

•           Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and fabrication drawings

•           Ability to use measuring tools and perform basic layout work

•           Ability to safely operate grinders, cutting torches, drills, and other fabrication equipment

•           Basic understanding of welding and fabrication safety practices

•           Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

•           Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

•           Ability to work safely around machinery and production equipment

•           Ability to follow GMP, OSHA, food safety, and company safety requirements

•           Strong attendance, reliability, and punctuality

•           Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team

Preferred Qualifications:

•           High School Diploma or GED

•           Previous manufacturing or food processing experience

•           Technical or vocational training in welding or fabrication

•           Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

•           Previous experience working with stainless steel

•           Experience performing equipment repairs or preventive maintenance

Pay, Schedule, and Location

•           Pay Rate: $18.80/hr.

•           Schedule: Full-Time

•           Shift: 1st Shift, 5:00 AM – 1:00 PM

•           Location: Arvin, CA
