Exact Staff is hiring dependable and compassionate Dietary Aides for our client in Boyle Heights. This is a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy helping others and supporting patient care by providing nourishing meals that meet patients’ dietary needs. The ideal candidate understands the importance of dietary restrictions, food allergies, meal service, and maintaining strict kitchen and sanitation practices.

This position is ideal for individuals with experience in dietary services, food preparation, meal service, or environments where food safety and sanitation standards are essential.

What You'll Be Doing:

·         Review patient charts and understand nutritional limitations and dietary restrictions

·         Assist with patient meal planning and preparation based on dietary needs and medical diagnoses

·         Help provide nourishing, healthy meals that align with diet recommendations, including regular diets, dietary restrictions, and food allergies

·         Serve meals to patients and explain meal and nutrition needs to patients and families

·         Gather patient feedback and report concerns to the dietary manager

·         Clean and disinfect food preparation tools and equipment

·         Discard food items considered contaminated and follow proper sanitation practices

·         Monitor kitchen supplies, ingredients, and food inventory to help ensure the kitchen is well-stocked

Qualifications:

·         Understanding of patient nutritional needs, dietary restrictions, and food allergies

·         Ability to follow meal plans and instructions based on dietary recommendations

·         Knowledge of kitchen safety, food handling, and sanitation practices

·         Strong attention to detail and organization

·         Good communication skills when interacting with patients, families, and team members

·         Ability to work in a patient-focused environment and as part of a team

Pay, Schedule, and Location:

·         Pay Rate: $20.00–$22.00/hour

·         Schedule: Full-Time, flexible schedule

·         Location: Boyle Heights, California

·         Work Environment: Patient dietary services and food preparation
