Exact Staff is hiring an experienced Tax Preparer / Tax Accountant for our client, a well-established boutique tax and accounting firm in West Los Angeles with over 30 years of experience providing tax, accounting, and consulting services to individuals and businesses. This position is ideal for a CPA, EA, or highly experienced tax professional with a strong public accounting background, solid bookkeeping and accounting knowledge, and the ability to independently manage multiple client engagements. This position is ideal for individuals with 8–10+ years of tax and accounting experience in a public accounting environment.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Prepare simple to complex tax returns for corporations, partnerships, LLCs, trusts, and individuals
• Prepare year-end tax projections and assist clients with tax planning strategies
• Review financial statements and client records for accuracy and completeness
• Prepare and review annual and quarterly payroll tax returns
• Handle federal and state tax filings, payments, and tax notices
• Use QuickBooks, Lacerte, and other financial software to gather, analyze, and verify client information
• Maintain accurate records of tax documents, client communications, and filing statuses
• Communicate complex tax matters clearly and professionally while providing high-quality client service
• Assist with bookkeeping, accounting, financial planning, and other miscellaneous client projects as needed

Qualifications:

• 8–10+ years of tax and accounting experience preferred
• CPA or EA strongly preferred; Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field accepted
• Proven experience preparing individual and business tax returns in a public accounting environment
• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements
• Proficiency with Lacerte and QuickBooks
• Solid understanding of bookkeeping, corporate accounting, and financial statements
• Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to manage multiple client engagements, deadlines, and priorities with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Must be able to commute to Los Angeles, CA 90064

Pay, Schedule, and Location:

• Pay Rate: $100,000–$150,000/year, DOE
• Schedule: Full-Time
• Location: West Los Angeles, CA 90064 (In-Person)
