Exact Staff is hiring for our client, a well-known healthcare facility in Delano, CA. We are seeking a Front Office Clerk to check in patients, direct them to the services they need, schedule appointments, and support preliminary assessments.

This position is ideal for individuals with front desk, patient registration, medical office, or healthcare customer service experience.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Welcoming patients in person and by phone, and explaining services available, payment categories, and billing procedures
• Scheduling appointments and directing walk-in patients and emergencies per established policies and procedures
• Answering all incoming calls and routing them to appropriate staff
• Registering all patients per registration protocols and collecting required documentation
• Generating route slips for each patient and ensuring all services provided are checked out properly
• Reviewing and verifying patient insurance coverage and computing patient-paid charges
• Collecting deposits, co-pays, and deductibles prior to the patient being seen, per established policies
• Informing patients of outstanding balances, collecting payment, and issuing cash receipts
• Working closely with Medical, Dental, and Nursing staff to ensure smooth patient flow and minimize wait times
• Coordinating with health promotion personnel on follow-up for missed appointments
• Calling and reminding patients of upcoming appointments
• Communicating patient problems or complaints to the office manager

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Formal training from a vocational school or accredited program
• Ability to work under pressure
• Familiarity with medical terminology and triage procedures
• Commitment to providing health care with dignity for all
• Bilingual: ability to speak, read, and write in English and Spanish

Pay, Schedule, and Location

• Pay Rate: $21.00 – $22.00/hr
• Schedule: Full-Time, Temp-to-Hire
• Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00AM–5:00PM
• Location: Delano, CA
