Exact Staff is hiring for our client in Valencia, CA for an experienced Accounting Specialist. This Accounting Specialist role is responsible for supporting daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and financial reporting. The Accounting Specialist will work closely with the Director of Accounting & Finance to ensure accurate financial records and compliance with accounting standards.

Pay, Schedule, and Location

• Pay: $32.00 – $38.00 per hour (depending on experience)
• Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Employment Type: Full-Time (40 hours per week)
• Location: Valencia, CA
• Start Date: Immediate

 

Responsibilities

• Manage Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger activities
• Record financial transactions and maintain accurate accounting records
• Perform bank, credit card, and account reconciliations
• Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end and year-end close
• Process payroll and ensure accurate payroll reporting
• Maintain inventory-related accounting in coordination with operations
• Prepare sales tax and regulatory filings
• Generate financial reports for leadership
• Support internal and external audits
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Accounting or 2+ years of Accounting Specialist experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles
• Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or consumer goods environments preferred
• Experience using accounting software or ERP systems
• Advanced Excel skills
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
• Ability to handle confidential financial information with integrity
