Job Description:

We are looking for detail-oriented and experience Accounts Payable Specialist in the area of Bakersfield, CA. This is a full-time, temp-to-hire role that requires strong proficiency with accounting softwares. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing invoices, maintaining accurate financial records, accurate vendor payments, and assisting with account reconciliation.

Full Time 

Temp-to-Hire
Schedule: Monday – Friday  8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $20/HR (DOE)


Responsibilities:

  • Manage full-cycle accounts payable operations with invoices accurately and efficiently
  • Review and verify invoice details, coding expenses to appropriate general ledger accounts
  • Perform three-way matching for purchase order, invoice, and receiving documentation
  • Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies or vendor inquiries
  • Reconcile accounts payable inquiries to the general ledger and resolve billing discrepancies  
  • Prepare and process payments
  • Maintain accurate records of transactions and supporting documentation
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
  • Communicate professionally with vendors and internal departments
  • Prepare reports on accounts payable statuses and cash flow
  • Support audit requests by providing documentation and reports

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and AP processes
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or SAP
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Education & Experience:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
  • 2+ years of accounts payable or general accounting experience
