Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Buyer to support purchasing and supply chain operations within a manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for sourcing materials, managing supplier relationships, processing purchase orders, monitoring inventory levels, and ensuring the timely delivery of goods and services needed to support production and business operations.

Full-Time | Temporary Assignment
Pay: $25.00+/Hour (Depending on Experience)

Responsibilities

  • Review purchase requests for accuracy, approvals, budget compliance, and procurement requirements.
  • Create, process, and maintain purchase orders within the ERP system.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment activities to ensure material availability.
  • Communicate with suppliers regarding pricing, lead times, delivery schedules, and service performance.
  • Coordinate with Finance regarding capital purchases, invoice discrepancies, and receiving issues.
  • Maintain supplier records, pricing agreements, and procurement documentation.
  • Support sourcing initiatives, supplier evaluations, and cost-reduction projects.
  • Coordinate material deliveries with suppliers, warehouses, manufacturing facilities, and internal departments.
  • Review and manage open purchase orders to ensure timely delivery and resolution of outstanding issues.
  • Assist with new product launches, material planning, and import activities.
  • Support supplier performance tracking, reporting, and procurement metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, audit requirements, and purchasing procedures.
  • Follow workplace safety standards and company regulations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, inventory control, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, supplier management, and inventory planning.
  • Experience working in manufacturing, food and beverage, or consumer packaged goods environments preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
  • SAP experience is highly preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build productive relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Experience identifying process improvements and supporting operational efficiency initiatives.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and related work experience may be considered.
