Exact Staff is seeking for a reliable and motivated Cash Applications Specialist to join a fast-paced Medical Family Practice Chain in Bakersfield, CA. If you are looking for steady full-time work, weekly pay, and an opportunity to grow with a strong team, we want to hear from you.

This position is ideal for individuals with account reconciliation, electronic claim processing, communication between providers, and fast paced environments experience.

What You’ll Be Doing:

·         Perform daily reconciliation of deposits scanned by medical practices.

·         Support staff with file creation and monthly data storage.

·         Communicate with external vendors to ensure accurate cash application and denial management.

·         Upload or manually post cash transactions, denials, and zero-dollar payments into the Electronic Practice Management (EPM) system.

·         Balance daily batches and ensure proper claim disposition according to department guidelines.

·         Name, organize, and store files for remittance processing and variance reporting.

·         Reconcile provider-level adjustments to ensure accurate patient accounting records in the NextGen system.

·         Process account adjustments and transfers.

·         Work with the accounting department to reconcile accounts by month-end.

·         Reconcile electronically transmitted files to ensure complete and accurate data.

·         Serve as a resource for departments regarding cash services, deposit procedures, credit card processing, and balancing procedures.

·         Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Must have a high school diploma or GED
• Minimum of 1 year of billing and accounts receivable experience in a physician practice environment.
• Proficiency with office software and computer applications.
• Strong and accurate data entry skills.
• Ability to compile statistics and generate reports.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prepare and implement collection letters.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of payer contracts.

Pay, Schedule, and Location

• Pay Rate: $22/HR
• Schedule: Full-Time
• Shifts Available: Monday-Friday 8am-5PM
• Location: Bakersfield, CA
